Permanent Homes and Seeds Delivered to Flood Victims in Chumphon and Surat Thani Provinces from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn
Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, traveled to Chumpon and Surat Thani Provinces to deliver permanent houses together with seeds presented by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to the flood victims in Chumphon and Surat Thani Provinces.
On 27 May, 2011, Dr. Sumet went to Baan Huay Lord, Bang Ma Prow Sub-district, Lang Suan District, Chumpon Province, to distribute seeds provided by Her Royal Highness such as oil palm seeds (Surat Thani 2 Type) and those from the Chakrabandh Pensiri Plant Development Center in Chiang Rai Province.
Later, Dr. Sumet proceeded to La Mae District of Chumphon Province and Phra Saeng District of Surat Thani Province, to inspect work progress in home repairing, and also delivered ten permanent houses as well as seeds presented by Her Royal Highness Princess to the flood victims.
On 28 May 2011, Dr. Sumet went to the community hall of Tha U-thae Sub-district, Kanchanadit District of Surat Thani Province, to distribute royal seeds and inaugurate the training seminar on plant and vegetable diseases and fertilizer mixing method. He then proceeded to Chao Baan Pod Shrine in Chon kram Sub-district, Don Sak District, Surat Thani Province, to inspect the shrine repairing and deliver the budget granted by Her Royal Highness to community leaders for the shrine activities.
