Project Handover Ceremony between the Chaipattana Foundation and the People’s Republic of China, Office of the Chaipattana Foundation, Dusit Palace

On 11 January 2012, the Handover Ceremony of the Northern Agricultural Development Project between the Chaipattana Foundation and the Government of the People’s Republic of China was held at the Office of the Chaipattana Foundation in Dusit Palace. The Ceremony was co-chaired by Mr Sumet Tantivejkul, Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, and Mr Zhang Yiming, Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, and also attended by representatives from China Yunnan Corporation for International Techno-Economic Cooperation (CYC) as well as senior officials of both parties.

The Northern Agricultural Development Project has been sponsored and managed by the Government of the People’s Republic of China since 2006, with technical assistance from the China Yunnan Corporation for International Techno-Economic Cooperation from November 25, 2010 to July 15, 2011.  As all obligations to be undertaken by the Government of the People’s Republic of China as outlined in the minutes agreed upon by the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Chaipattana Foundation on October 20, 2009 have now been fulfilled, the Northern Agricultural Development Project is hereby handed over to the Chaipattana Foundation.
