Chevron’s Contribution to Support a Post-Flood Rehabilitation Project on Damaged Schools
On 13 January, 2012, Mr Sumet Tantivejkul, Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, was presented with a 30 million-baht donation by Mr George L. Kirkland, Vice Chairman of Chevron Corporation to support a post-flood rehabilitation project between the Chaipattana Foundation and the Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Limited for damaged schools in Thailand.
The project aims to repair flood affected-schools as well as to promote energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy among young students. With them were Ms Suleeporn Choopavang, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ms Melody Meyer, President of Chevron Asia-Pacific Exploration and Production, Mr Pierre Breber, Managing Director of Chevron Asia South Ltd., Mr Pairoj Kaweeyanun, President of Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Limited, and other senior representatives of Chevron Corporation and Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Limited.
