“Rice for the King” Project Press Release

On August 7, 2013, Mr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, presided over the “Rice for the King” project press release at the Office of the Chaipattana Foundation.

This project was a collaboration between the Chaipattana Foundation, the Thai Rice Foundation under Royal Patronage, the Royal Thai Army, the Royal Thai Navy, the Royal Thai Air Force, and various major private enterprises to commemorate His Majesty the King’s 86th birthday anniversary on December 5, 2013. The project aimed to sell 100% organic jasmine rice and present all income net of expense to His Majesty the King for subsequent transfers to Chaipattana Foundation and Thai Rice Foundation under Royal Patronage.
