On 27 August 2022, Mr.Sumet Tantivejkul, Member and Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, led the participants from the 1st Chaipattana Foundation’s Leadership Programme for Sustainable Development to visit the Vegetable Oil Refining and Bio-Diesel Integrated Production Plant, in Phetchaburi Province.
In 2016, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn granted a permission to the Chaipattana Foundation to organize the leadership training program with the objectives to create qualified innovative leaders who have a moral sense and courage to change and take the right actions. The programme is aimed to create ethical leaders who are responsible for the society and environment, and can be competent Change Agents, leading the country towards sustainable development.
The Chaipattana Foundation’s Leadership Programme for Sustainable Development adopted the working principles and guideline of His Majesty Late King on “Understanding, Achieving and Developing” as a framework to create curriculum. In the 1st batch of the training program, there are 36 participants from government and private organisations, including the community leaders, representatives from educational institutions, development networks, etc. After graduation, the trainees will perform their duties as leaders creating benefits to the community as a whole.
