Decoration Ceremony of Sacred Letter of the Name "Sirindhorn" to be Enshrined at the Buddhist Chapel of Chan Temple
On 13 May 2023, Mr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Member and Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, presided over the decoration ceremony of sacred letter of the name "Sirindhorn" to be enshrined at the Buddhist Chapel of Chan Temple in Bang Phra Kru Sub-district, Nakhon Luang District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.
“Chan Temple” requested for the royal permission to use the architectural design of Rama IX Golden Jubilee Temple as a prototype for constructing the chapel. The chapel of Rama IX Golden Jubilee Temple was designed by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, emphasizing the compact size that aligns with the community’s focus on simplicity, frugality, but with maximum utility.
Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously bestowed the architectural design of Rama IX Golden Jubilee Temple to Chan Temple on 16 June 2012. In 2019, the chapel’s construction at Chan Temple was completed. Subsequently, Chan Temple requested the royal permission to decorate the sacred letter of the name "Sirindhorn" to be enshrined at the front of the chapel.
