Annual Religious Kathin Ceremony at Dhammabutra Monastery (Wat Pa Ban Nong Pla Tong), Sakon Nakhon Province

On 12 November 2023, Mr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Director and Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, presided over the Annual Religious Kathin Ceremony at Dhammabutra Monastery (Wat Pa Ban Nong PlaTong), Na Phiang Sub-district, Kusuman District, Sakon Nakhon Province.

This monastery is not far from Ban Kung Sri Land Development Project of the Chaipattana Foundation in Kusuman District, Sakon Nakhon Province; therefore, the two places have a relationship in the form of "Bavorn", which means households, temples, schools, and communities join force to drive the society towards sustainability according to the royal initiative of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great.

This year, the Chaipattana Foundation collaborated with 9 private agencies and the local people to hold this Kathin Ceremony. Thereby, Dhammabutra Monastery (Wat Pa Ban Nong PlaTong) will spend the donation derived from this ceremony building the Thammasangwet Pavilion and renovating the monastery to be the spiritual center of Ban Nong Pla Tong.
