Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation Travels to Lao People's Democratic Republic as to the Invitation of Lao Front for National Development Center
On 17 November 2023, Mr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Member and Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, and Mr. Lalit Thanomsing, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, traveled to Lao People's Democratic Republic as to the invitation of Lao Front for National Development Center during 17 - 22 November 2023.
The objectives of the visit are to discuss and exchange agricultural lessons between the two countries. The group also visited the royal initiative projects established as to the initiatives of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, which are Huay Son-Huay Sua Agricultural Development and Service Center, the Integrated Agricultural Demonstration Center between the Chaipattana Foundation and Champasak University and Nong Tao Agriculture-Forestry Development in Savannakhet. The group also joined the discussion and exchange of ideas on 5-year Lao Development Plan (2021 - 2025), and the Thai- Lao Diplomatic Relations and the collaboration.
On 22 November 2023, Mr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Member and Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation led the Lao delegation to visit Phu Phan Development Study Center under the royal initiative in Sakon Nakhon Province. The Phu Phan Center is 1 of the 6 development study centers under the royal initiative of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. His Late Majesty granted an initiation to establish the center with an objective to be a study center where research, experimentation and the development approaches are conducted in line with the socio-geographical condition for the utmost benefits of the local people. From the visit, the Lao working group would apply the knowledge gained to benefit the country as a whole.
