Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Harvests Rice at the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, Nakhon Nayok Province
On 11 October 2019, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn proceeded to Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, Nakhon Nayok Province, in order to harvest rice varieties RD79 at the royal-initiative project on rice farming in an empty area. On this occasion, Her Royal Highness manually harvested the rice in pots instead of in the rice fields. This is because the frequent rain and insufficient sunlight made the rice in paddy fields grow more slowly than expected. Director-General of the Rice Department, therefore, presented the report accordingly and adjusted the plan to harvest rice as such for good fortune and morale support for the cadets and farmers.
After that, Her Royal Highness sowed sun hemp seeds and released some fish into the rice fields before collecting vegetables on the ridge of demonstration plot.
