Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Presided over the 52nd National Book Week and the 22nd International Book Week
On 28 March 2024, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn proceeded to the 52nd National Book Week and the 22nd International Book Week at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok. In this regard, Her Royal Highness witnessed the book exhibition “Life’s Destiny of Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul” and “Royal Cookbook by Thanpuying Prasansuk Tantivejkul” and graciously purchased these books from this event. On this occasion, Mr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Member and Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, along with the executives of the Chaipattana Foundation, were present to receive Her Royal Highness.
Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn granted a permission to Mr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Member and Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, to publish the book “Life’s Destiny of Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul” with an intention to give the copyright to the Chaipattana Foundation. In addition, Her Royal Highness also granted a permission to the Chaipattana Foundation to compile the recipes created by Thanpuying Prasansuk Tantivejkul, mother of Mr.Sumet Tantivejkul in the “Royal Cookbook by Thanpuying Prasansuk Tantivejkul” , aiming to preserve the authentic Thai culinary recipes, which are considered the cultural heritage passed down for a long period of time.
Thai Beverage Public Company Limited and Sirivadhanabhakdi Foundation are the sponsors of the books' publication. All proceeds derived from the sales will be donated to the Chaipattana Foundation.
“Life’s Destiny of Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul” and “Royal Cookbook by Thanpuying Prasansuk Tantivejkul” are now available at leading book stores nationwide and all branches of the PatPat Shop of the Chaipattana Foundation.
