Jasmine Rice Seed Distribution Ceremony to Farmers in Surin Province

On April 21, 2013, Mr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, presided over the distribution ceremony of seven tons of jasmine rice seeds to farmers in Surin province.

The ceremony was a result of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s initiative to set up a production center for rice seeds in the northeastern region of Thailand in order to distribute chemical-free, high-quality rice seeds to farmers. Accordingly, the Chaipattana Foundation proceeded to establish another Chakrabandh Pensiri Plant Development Center in Kula Rong Hai Plain area, Surin province.
