MOU Signing Ceremony of Bulon Island Development Project, La-ngu District, Satun Province

 

On November 21, 2013, Mr. Sumet Tantivejkul, Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chusak Limsakul, President of Prince of Songkla University, and Mr. Yongyuth Wattanasin, President of TOT Public Company Limited, presided over the MOU signing ceremony for collaboration on the Bulon Island Development Project, La-ngu District, Satun Province.

 

 

The project, which is under TOT’s telecommunication support, has an aim to provide support in the following aspects;

- Public health: To develop telemedicine system and establish self health group (SHG)

- Infrastructure development: To enhance the community’s educational potential by selecting outstanding students to receive scholarship for higher education in the area of electrical or mechanical studies and encouraging graduating students to return home to help develop their own community.

- Vocation: To organize agricultural product processing of mangoes and fisheries by using demonstrating techniques to household groups.

- Culture: To conserve local music by compiling music scores and teaching to local youths.
