The Representative from the Chaipattana Foundation Receives the Honorary Shield "10 Land Markets, 6 Floating Markets: Reviving Thai Culture”

On 3 October 2023, Danucha Sintawanon, Member and Deputy Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, was a representative from the Chaipattana Foundation to receive the honorary shield "10 Land Markets, 6 Floating Markets: Reviving Thai Culture." This initiative aims to promote the identity of communities towards cultural tourism. The Amphawa Chaipattananurak Conservation Project Development is considered a model for cultural preservation and a part of the development of the Amphawa Floating Market in Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province. The ceremony was organized by the Ministry of Culture at the Santi Maitri Building, Government House.

The Ministry of Culture has selected 16 land and floating markets to promote the community identity and Thai cultural heritage in cultural tourism for 2023. The objective is to elevate both land and floating markets, making them widely recognized. This initiative aims to stimulate economy, create jobs, and generate income for the local population through creative and cultural tourism through land and floating markets.
