Royally-granted Goats Presentation Ceremonny

 4137000935453484629 n

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously granted 31 Black Bengal goats from the Research and Development Project of Goat Breeds in the Southern Region as follows; 15 goats to Yala Rajabhat University in Yala Province, 10 goats to the 152nd Infantry Regiment at Sirindhorn Camp in Pattani Province, and 6 goats to a group of farmers from the Sufficiency Economy Learning Center in Yala Province. These goats are intended for breeding to support educational programs and promote goat farming among the local population. This initiative also serves to replace the previous set of royally-granted goats, which faced issues of inbreeding and cyanide exposure from the invasive weeds.

The royally-granted goats presentation ceremony was organized on 21 October 2024. Mr. Thursak Boonyakachon, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation, presided over the Ceremony at the Chalerm Phrakiat 50th Anniversary Building at Yala Rajabhat University in Yala Province.
