Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Observes the Operation Progress of Thaharn Phandee Project (The Good Farmer Soldiers) in Nan Province
On 17 December 2024, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn traveled to observe the operation progress of Thaharn Phandee Project (The Good Farmer Soldiers) At Saeng Phen Operations Base, Fai Kaeo Subdistrict, Phu Phiang District, Nan Province.
The 38th Military Circle initiated the “Good Farmer Soldiers” project on 8 February 2019, at the Saeng Phen Operation Base in Fai Kaeo Subdistrict, Phu Phiang District, Nan Province, covering an area of 74 rai (29 acres). Currently, four military units are involved in the project: the 38th Military Circle, the 32nd Ranger Regiment, the 10th Cavalry Battalion, the 2nd Cavalry Regiment, and the 15th Cavalry Battalion of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment. The project focuses on three main activities: agriculture, fisheries, and livestock farming.
Additionally, Her Royal Highness has graciously initiated the expansion of the “Thaharn Phandee Project (The Good Farmer Soldiers) Project, encouraging the cultivation of safe, homegrown vegetables for household consumption. As a result, Her Royal Highness has entrusted the military to implement the “Chumchon Bergbarn Aharn Plod Pai” (Happy Community, Healthy Food)” initiative under this project. In Nan Province, the “Thaharn Phandee Project (The Good Farmer Soldiers) has assisted 18 schools across six districts in growing safe vegetables. The initiative has also been extended to parents and nearby communities through the “Baan Nee Mee Rak Plook Pak Kin Aeng” (Grow the Veggies in the Home of Love) program, promoting self-sufficiency and food security.
