Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Delivers Speech at Beijing Normal University

On 10 April 2025, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over and participated in the International Capacity-Building Workshop on Education for Sustainable Rural Development, delivering a royal speech on education for sustainable rural development at Beijing Normal University, People's Republic of China.

On this occasion, the Chaipattana Foundation, in collaboration with UNESCO INRULED, selected three community leaders and farmers involved in the Foundation’s projects to attend the international workshop. The Foundation has worked in academic partnership with UNESCO INRULED (UNESCO International Research and Training Centre for Rural Education), an institution under the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization since 2019, particularly in the areas of international academic conferences on education, environment, and sustainability to improve remote communities.

This collaboration has extended to exchange programs with Thai agricultural and community leaders. In April 2024, the Chaipattana Foundation selected 3 leaders from its affiliated projects across various regions in Thailand to participate in an international exchange and training workshop on International Capacity Building Workshop on Education for Sustainable Rural Development in the People’s Republic of China. 3 Thai representatives were selected to participate in a follow-up international workshop from 7–11 April 2025, including:

Mr. Attapol Poolyam, Farmer and Headman of the Sub-District Administrative Organization Council of Kong Thanu, Lopburi Province

Mrs. Amphon Rinnairak, Member of the Safe Vegetable Cultivation Project under GAP standards, Chiang Rai Province

Ms. Patnaree Chalermyartwong, Member of the Agricultural Network in Lam Luk Ka District, Pathum Thani Province

They also took part in study visits on agricultural technology and greenhouse crop management, observing the cultivation of strawberries, watermelons, melons, and tomatoes, as well as visiting flower export plantations operated by local enterprises in Hebei Province.
