Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Presides over the Opening Ceremony of the “60 Years of the Royally-granted Nile Tilapia for the Thai People” Exhibition

On 13 March 2026, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over the opening ceremony of the “60 Years of the Royally-granted Nile Tilapia for the Thai People” exhibition at Future Park and ZPELL Shopping Center, Pathum Thani Province.

On this occasion, Her Royal Highness observed exhibitions and product booths presented by the Chaipattana Foundation, including Ban Koh Ka Chaipattana Foundation Land Development Project (Chitralada Nile Tilapia Breeding Center) in Nakhon Nayok Province, Thaharn Phandee Project (Good Farmer Soldiers): “Friends for Friends” Royally-granted Freshwater Fish Production Center, and the PatPat Shop of the Chaipattana Foundation.

The “60 Years of the Royally-granted Nile Tilapia for the Thai People” exhibition was organized by the Department of Fisheries in collaboration with the Chaipattana Foundation, the Thai Tilapia Association, and private-sector partners to commemorate the boundless royal benevolence of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great on the 60th anniversary of His Majesty's royal gift of Nile tilapia to the Thai people. The introduction of Nile tilapia has become an important source of protein and a cornerstone of Thailand's food security. The exhibition was held from 13-17 March 2026 at Alive Park Hall, G Floor, Future Park and ZPELL Shopping Center, Pathum Thani Province.
