Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Attends the “Chinese - Thai Youth Actions on Sustainable Development” Exhibition in Beijing, People's Republic of China

On 9 April 2026, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited the UNESCO International Research and Training Centre for Rural Education (UNESCO INRULED) at Beijing Normal University (BNU) in Beijing, People's Republic of China, to attend the "Chinese - Thai Youth Actions on Sustainable Development" exhibition. The exhibition was jointly organized by the Chaipattana Foundation and UNESCO INRULED.

             

The exhibition showcased a wide range of youth-led initiatives from Thailand and China, including:

  • The China - Thailand Sustainable Rural Development Youth Leadership Network;
  • The Bashu - Southeast Asia School Partnership Programme;
  • The Chaipattana Foundation's Food Security and Environmental Conservation Programme;
  • Sustainable Development Projects of the Faculty of Geographical Science, Beijing Normal University; and
  • Beijing Normal University's Global Competency Development Programme.

The Chaipattana Foundation selected the King's Royally Initiated Laem Phak Bia Environmental Research and Development Project in Phetchaburi Province to showcase innovative and sustainable approaches to environmental management and natural resource conservation.
