Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Observes the Operation of the Chaipattana Foundation’s Projects in Chiang Rai
On 12-15 February 2018, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn made a royal visit to inspect the operation of the Chaipattana Foundation’s projects in Chiang Rai Province, the details of which are as below.
On 12 February 2018, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited the Prince Chakraband Pensiri Center for Plant Development at Infantry Battalion 37th Infantry Regiment. (Mengrai Maharat Camp) Muaeng Chiangrai District, Chiang Rai Province, in order to follow up on the work progress of the projects within the center. The activities that the center has been promoting include the royal-granted vegetable seeds, the breeding of Black Bengal goat, boar, and Meishan pig.
On 14 February 2018, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn followed up the study and development project on Camellia Oleifera at Ban Pangmahan and Ban Pu Na, Mae Fa Luang District, Chiang Rai Province. On this occasion, Her Royal Highness also visited villagers’ tea oil plantation plots and attended in the project briefing session from the researchers. This project is operated by the Chaipattana Foundation together with the Mae Fah Luang Foundation under the Royal Patronage. The project is an initiative of Her Royal Highness aiming to conduct a research study on tea oil plantation in Thailand. The project plays an important part in forest conservation and helps the local people to earn more income while living harmoniously with nature.
On 15 February 2018, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited Bengal Goat Domestication Project. Her Royal Highness asked Mae Fah Luang Foundation under the Royal Patronage to collaborate with the Chaipattana Foundation to produce high quality breeding of Bengal goats to be distributed to the local people. Afterward, Her Royal Highness proceeded to follow up work progress at the Prince Chakrabandh Pensiri Center for Plant Development and the Tea Oil and Plant Oils Development Center.
