Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Travels to Observe the Operation of “Thaharn Phandee Project (Good Farmer Soldiers)” in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

On 28 January 2022, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn traveled to observe the operation of “Thaharn Phandee Project (Good Farmer Soldiers)” at Quartermaster Department Royal Thai Army in Nakhon Ratchasima Province.  

Quartermaster Department Royal Thai Army has joined the project “Chumchon Bergbarn Aharn Plod Pai (Happy Community, Healthy Food)”, aiming for producing high quality vegetable seeds which can be stored for further cultivation. The Project’s results were extended to 2 surrounding villages, i.e., Ta Ngoi Village and Sab Muang Village.

In 2021, the Quartermaster Department Royal Thai Army produced 4 kinds of vegetable seeds for being preserved as royally-granted seeds. In 2022, the Project plans to grow Sirindhorn No.1 Purple Yard Long Bean and Lady’s Finger for further collect their seeds. Additionally, Black Bengol goat and wild boar are also raised at the Project. The animal feeds, which are 4 species of grass, are cultivated at the Project area. The Project received 20 Black Bengol goats from the project of the Chaipattana Foundation in Chiang Rai Province. At present, there are 36 Black Bengol goats, the 24 goats of which are babies presented to people in the vicinity.
