Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Travels to Observe the Operation Progress of Ban Dong Phraphon Land Development Project of the Chaipattana Foundation in Chiang Rai Province

On 11 July 2022, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn traveled to observe the operation progress of Ban Dong Phraphon Land Development Project of the Chaipattana Foundation (Animals Production and Distribution Center), Pa Ngio Sub-district, Wiang Pa Pao District, Chiang Rai Province. This project was established to be a large-animal breeding center for royal distribution as well as a demonstration and training center for goat and cow farming based on proper technologies in animal husbandry. In addition, the animal feeds are produced from local materials in this project. At present, there are totally 94 Shami goats.

On this occasion, Her Royal Highness also visited the Shami goat nursery and Shami goat breeding house. The project has also processed the goat milk into various products. The goat milk at this project has very good quality with appropriate amount of microbial.

In addition, the project has a goat health management system and the management of forage crops that can develop the good and standardized quality of animal feeds. This project is also considered to be a source of genetic forage and learning center of animal feeds.

At present, the project has been certified for good agricultural practices in livestock for dairy goat farm (Goat milk farm standard) from the Department of Livestock Development.
