Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Observes the Operation of Educational and Cultural Exchange Program between the Chaipattana Foundation and the Republic of Singapore
On 18 July 2020, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn traveled to observe the operation of Educational and Cultural Exchange Program between the Chaipattana Foundation and the Republic of Singapore, at NorthLight School, Republic of Singapore.
The objective of this project is to offer the opportunities to high school students in vocational program of the remote schools supported by the Foundation, i.e., Wangnoi Phanomyong Wittaya School in Ayutthaya Province, Kuraburi Chaipattana Pittayakom School in Phang Nga Province, Udomsasn Witya School and Srifarida Baru Witya School in Yala Province, to have broader vision and inspiration from vocational curricular, vocational trainings, and modern technologies in Singapore. It is expected that the knowledge and experiences derived from this program would be applied in their own vocational programs. Thereby, Singapore Government selected NorthLight School to attend this program.
The Singapore Government selected NorthLight School to attend this Program. NorthLight School is a secondary school founded by Ministry of Education, Singapore. The school aims to provide an engaging education for youth and prepare them for lifelong learning and employability. Currently, the selected students are the 5th batch of Educational and Cultural Exchange Program. The 5th Exchange Program was held during 17-21 July 2022, with total of 12 participants, including both students and teachers. The 1st batch of this Program was initiated in 2013.
The students who participated in the Program have obtained many skills. They are more confident and assertive, and they have also made new foreign friends with different languages and cultures. Above all, they have learnt how to solve the problems. Once going back to schools, they could share the valuable experiences to other students at their schools. In addition, this Program has brought about the cooperation between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of Singapore.
